What Our Guests Had To Say About Their Retreats In Spain

“Delighted to see my two favourite retreat organisers loving life in Alicante and finally holding a retreat in their new destination. It felt like a return to home for me! All the things that were missing for me were there before my eyes; incredible food, yoga, old and new friends, laughter, and finally my own inner peace. Many thanks and can’t wait to return.” Annette

“Wow! What to say! This retreat has been incredible, so magical, beautiful and amazing. I’ve loved the shits I’ve experienced and reconnecting and coming home to myself. Being in surrender to alignment. The delicious, incredible food cooked with love by Dom, and the energies and magic of the venue; this is my new happy place (after you closed down your UK retreat centre). The connection with beautiful people, just everything was perfect. Loved being surrounded by nature. A million, trillion thank you’s with much love and gratitude.” Anon

“I attended Jo and Dom’s retreat not knowing really what to expect, having not been on any kind of retreat before. It has certainly exceeded my expectation massively and I feel totally blessed to have been able to experience it! From the moment I arrived at the hotel I felt totally at home and was blown away by the beauty of the place and the scenery beyond, it truly is a magical place for a retreat! The food Dom has prepared for us has been a complete joy and I will never forget our meals and snacks (particularly the flap-crack!!). All of the above shared with an amazing bunch of ladies has made the whole week the most memorable experience and one I would definitely like to have again!” Sally

“A wonderful relaxing week, met some lovely people; old and new. I feel energised, super nourished and deeply connected. See you in April!” Nicola S

“The organisation of the retreat has been excellent with Dom and Jo proving to be great hosts. There was a lovely balance of yoga sessions and downtime. I will definitely be back.” Catrina

“Dom and Jo are fantastic hosts, and the venue is exemplary clean and beautifully scenic. The food was delicious and filling.” Chris

“Jo and Dom are great hosts, the food was very high quality and it’s wonderful to see the mountains when you sit down for dinner.” Anon

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time on retreat. It’s a beautiful venue with comfortable rooms and a variety of outdoor spaces. I love the food and gong from Dom and the yoga and meditation with Jo, and they made me feel so special on my birthday. A wonderfully nourishing and rewarding time. Thank you.” Kate

Meet Your Hosts
Jo and Dominic De Rosa have been running retreats since 2011 and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. The pair hosted hundreds of retreats at their centre in Lavenham, Suffolk, UK between 2013 and 2020, and now bring their expertise to sunny Spain and are mentoring those that would like to begin a retreat business.

Jo works the physical body into alignment via yoga (see more information below), with Dominic first growing much of the food and then preparing it for all your meals. On an energetic level Jo’s guided meditations have supported thousands of people globally, over more than two decades, to transcend mediocrity and addiction, whilst as a professional musician Dominic knows how to release blockages through the vibration of the gong.

Jo began teaching yoga and meditation on 6th January 2001 in Bophut, Koh Samui, Thailand where she had a studio (on the roof overlooking Koh Phan-gnan) and clothes shop. She trained in both Thailand and India, and then moved back to the UK where she had studios in North London, Hertfordshire and then Inner Guidance Retreat Centre, Lavenham, Suffolk. It is from there that Jo upped sticks with her husband Dominic and their pets and moved to Spain, where they live off-grid and as self-sufficiently as possible in the forest and mountains of Costa Blanca.

The yoga has come full circle because Jo is once again teaching from her roof, as she started off in Thailand 25 years ago 🧘‍♀️ and the couple are now also back to running regular retreats, much to the delight of their community.

Ceremonial Cacao is also a huge part of the De Rosa’s journey having met Keith Wilson, ‘The Chocolate Shaman’, and his partner Barbara back in 2013 when the Americans held two weekend ceremonies at Inner Guidance Retreat Centre in the UK. Jo and Dom then travelled to Lake Atitlan in Guatemala to sit ‘on the porch’ and share cacao with Keith and Barbara in their own environment. Since 2013 Jo and Dom have sold Keith’s Cacao and delivered hundreds of Cacao Ceremonies online and in person, in the UK and Spain.

Jo, along with her husband, ran Inner Guidance Retreat Centre in Lavenham, Suffolk, UK between 2013 and 2020, where hundreds of retreats were held during this time. The couple ran their own retreats, and also hired the venue out to other teachers to bring their groups.
